DAVID RICHARD SMITH Entered into rest on November 8, 2003 in Hayward. He was born October 11, 1960 in Guam to Lieutenant William Henry Smith and Mildred D. Smith. David attended various schools around the world. He married Sabrina Polk on July 16, 1994. A man with a kind heart, David's life work included enlisting with the U. S. Marines at the age of 18, but his favorite work was in the community as a counselor helping those less fortunate to develop life skills. He enjoyed bowling on weekends, R & B and rap music, and was a devoted 49ers fan. A member of the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. He will be missed by all who knew him. Loving husband of Sabrina Smith; Caring father of Myesha Smith and step father of Kimberly Daniels and her husband Willie, and Donte Polk; Adoring son of the late William H. Smith and Mildred D. Smith; Cherished brother of Paul A. Smith, William H. Smith Jr., and Darlene Horton; Dear step grandfather of four. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday November 15, 2003 at 11:00 AM at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 1839 Woolsey St., Berkeley.
