Walter Crisolo

Walter Crisolo WALTER ROBERT CRISOLO 1951 ~ 2004 Passed away in Phoenix, Arizona. Born in Manila, Philippine Islands on March 2, 1951. Walter was a resident of Oakland, Berkeley, and Alameda for 52 years, and was living in Arizona for the past two months. He remained a rabid Oakland A's and Raiders fan. Walter graduated from Oakland High in 1969 and studied at the California College of Arts and Crafts for 2 years. He worked for the Pfizer Company for 18 years until they closed their local plant. Most recently, Walter completed the certification to be a massage therapist where he thrived in private practice, and in donating his therapy services at local sporting events.

Words and space cannot describe what Walter meant to his family and friends because he made everyone feel that they were important and special in his life. He was gentle, compassionate, intelligent, artistic, and multi-talented in music. He loved all animals and plants, and nurtured them if they were ailing. He was always there in times of crisis. Everybody loved Walter and wanted to be with him. His passing leaves a deep void for those whose lives he touched.

Walter is survived by his brothers and sisters: Magdelena Custodio, Norma Moore, Jim Crisolo, Mark Crisolo, Elizabeth Sinnema, Alan Crisolo, and Arlene Yoshikawa. His numerous grieving nephews and nieces, whom he dearly loved, also carry on Walter's spirit. A private memorial service for Walter's family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave, Oakland, 510-654-0123. A reception follows immediately after the service. Chapel of the Chimes Oakland 510-654-0123 "Service of Marked Distinction" www.chapelofthechimes.com
