AMOS WILEY, 48, Correctional Officer

DELANO, Calif. -- Mr. Amos Wiley Jr., former resident of Haines City, died Saturday (July 12, 1997) in Los Angeles. He was 48.

Born in Haines City on Nov. 24, 1948, he moved to Delano from Sacramento 22 years ago. He was a correctional officer at the North Kern Correctional Facility. He was a retired Air Force staff sergeant. He graduated from Oakland High School class of 1968.

He is survived by his daughter, Suyana Wiley, California; brothers, Leotis Wiley, Bartow; and sisters, Olivia Wiley, Haines City, and Regina Stribling, Lakeland.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the New Beulah Baptist Church, 1706 N. 12th St., Haines City. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
