Robert Allen Towner Robert Allen Towner, Singer / Actor / Writer
Passed away on Saturday December 15th 2007.
Born in Oakland California July 18th 1948. He is survived by his Mother, his brother Jeffrey of Petaluma, CA and his sister Melanie McCaughan of Port Angles, WA.

Robb throughout his schooling was always singing and acting. He started his singing career at 18 with a shared engagement with Mort Sahl at the famous nightclub "The Hungry i" in San Francisco in 1966. He then toured New England with "The Fisherman's Players" and acted with "The Provincetown Workshop". He continued his acting career back in the Bay Area with roles in the University of California Berkeley's productions of Bertolt Brech's "The Rise and Fall on the City Mahgahony" and Leonard Bernstein's "Mass". In 1974 he performed a one-man play "Samuel Hoopes Reading From His Own Works" for University of Berkeley, which was also televised in San Francisco. He then moved to Seattle WA where he performed for "The Village Theater" playing in "Annie Get Your Gun" and "Sweeny Todd". In later years he put his efforts into writing. He started a business named Curious Radio Works in 1994 and wrote the plays, "Charles Laughton Remembered", "An Evening of Irish Authors" and "The Horrific Tales of Edgar Allen Poe". His most current writing was a Cabaret style musical, "More of Loesser" based on the works of lyricist Frank Loesser. He had a love for Jazz. He loved to sing at the few remaining "Open Mic" bars in Seattle. His love for the theater, singing and love for the written word never waned. His creative drive, dedication and love for the arts will be sorely missed.

Rest in peace my brother.
