Sara Jane "Sally" Conklin - 9/8/1944 - 12/12/2006

Her Legacy.....

A 1963 graduate of Oakland High School, Sally went on to attend Mills College in Oakland. A proud and loving mother and grandmother who prized her family above all else, Sally had a career as the owner of several Auburn and Placerville restaurants that spanned over a twenty-year period. She was also an active member in her community, including the restoration of Lumpkin Road, several animal rescue organizations and countless breast cancer support groups. In addition, Sally was an avid gardener and outdoor enthusiast.

Her Family......

Sally was born on September 8, 1944 in Atlanta, Georgia to Richard and Helen Dillon. She was raised by her grandfather and grandmother, LaPosea, in the Bay area with her sister, Gwendolyn and brother, Robert. Sally is survived by her daughter, Denise Weidman of Sacramento, two sons, Damon Conklin of Sacramento and William Conklin of Washington, and six grandchildren.

Her Farewell Service.....

A gathering of family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at Calvary Chapel in Auburn located at 1101 Auburn Ravine Road. A reception at the church will follow the memorial. Please join us in remembering this truly wonderful woman who will be greatly missed.
