Robert Wayne Shahoian Feb. 26, 1944~March 31, 2009 Resident of Pleasanton Bob Shahoian passed away in peace surrounded by loved ones. Our beloved father, husband, grandpa and friend fought a courageous battle against Leukemia that took him by surprise one month ago. A native of Oakland, Bob devoted his life to family and his Stock Brokerage career. He graduated from Oakland High School in 1962. He was a star football player and went on to play football at San Jose State on scholarship. He studied law and eventually entered the Stocks and Bonds industry where he was proud to have been the youngest partner to join Henry Swift and Co. Bob cherished his last ten years with his wife playing tennis, gardening, and socializing with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Desiree Shahoian, son Erik Shahoian, daughter Eve Shahoian-Memarzadeh, brother Sam Shahoian and sister Christine Wright, grandchildren Lily and Charles Shahoian, Aria and Arman Memarzadeh. His many nieces and nephews adored him. He is loved and will be missed by a large extended family and many friends. Funeral service will be April 6 at 1pm at Mountain View Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Ave. Oakland, CA 94611. Donations can be made to the American Leukemia Society.
