JoAnn Bennett Garvin Dec. 7, 1944 - Sept. 12, 2007 Former Resident of Walnut Creek/Oakland Survived by her beloved husband James Garvin. Loving mother to Kim Knott of Sacramento and Mindy Goodson of Live Oak. Proud Grandmother to Zachary Knott, Brandon Knott, Isabella Goodson and Maya Goodson. JoAnn is also survived by her brother Barry Bennett of Orinda, her extended family and many friends. JoAnn graduated from Oakland High School (class of 1962 [sic]) and attended Oakland City College and Armstrong College. She was a longtime resident of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties and was well known in the real estate community as a respected escrow officer and branch manager for a major title company. In their spare time JoAnn and Jim enjoyed traveling the western United States in their motor home. Services were private and donations may be made to Hospice via their Web site at www.hospicecare.com.
