JANET AILEEN AMUNDSON

August 8, 1943 - April 10, 2011

Janet was the second daughter born to Herb and Vera (Kultala) Amundson who have preceeded her in death. Janet is survived by two sisters, Barbara Jorgensen and husband Gary, Wisconsin and Patricia Amundson Clenner (Richard Clenner, dc'd) of Los Banos, California, a niece, Sheri Jorgensen Bahr (Roger) sons Alex, and Ryan, a nephew Paul Jorgensen (Joyce Jorgensen) daughter Jacklin; Karin Macijeski (Steve) daughters, Jenna and Brianna all from Wisconsin. Janet was also an amazing Godmother to her niece Karin Macijeski of Wisconsin and to Morgan Kultala of California who is a second cousin. Janet has family and friends from California, Florida, Hawaii, and Minnesota. She is also survived by three aunts: Bertha Kultala Seppala Chapin, Ethel Kultala Lindberg both from MN, Betty Kultala WA and an uncle Geroge Clark, MN.

Janet was born and raised in Oakland, CA and graduated from Oakland High. She then worked for the University of California for several years before re-locating to Wisconsin to be closer with her family. She worked for ISP Strauss for 10+ years before returning to California where she became employed with the San Jose School District as a Contract Specialist. She worked there for more than 23 years and happily retired in 2006 to the family home in Los Banos California. Janet was a cancer survivor of more than 20 years. She is a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church in Los Banos. Janet had a great deal of love which she bestowed on her family and friends. She had a generous spirit and loved spoiling her cats when they would allow it. She loved reading and her favorite book was the Bible.

Janet's Memorial Service will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Los Banos on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m.
