Lawrence Oliver Edwards was born Feb. 17, 1941 in Denver, CO, and passed away on May 10, 2010 in Placerville, CA. His family moved to Oakland, CA in 1954. He graduated from Oakland High School, received a B.S. degree from UC Berkeley, and earned a doctorate in Chemistry from the Univ. of Oregon in 1969.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother Leila Dorothy Alden Edwards and his father Arthur William Edwards. He is survived by his wife, Beverly, of Placerville, his sister Joyce Edwards Pendleton (Alan) of Medford, OR, and his nephew David Roy Pendleton of Portland, OR.

In lieu of a funeral there will be a gathering of Larry's family and friends on Saturday, June 12, 2010, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, El Dorado Hills, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in remembrance of Larry to Sierra Wildlife Rescue, PO Box 2127, Placerville, CA 95667. He was a truly remarkable man and will be missed by the many who knew and loved him.
