Ernel McCloskey Schroeder Passed away on February 11, 2007 in San Francisco, CA, after a brief illness. She was born on April 22, 1941 in Oakland, CA.

Ernel's career in the title insurance industry began shortly after she graduated from Oakland High School and spanned over five decades. Because of her vivacious personality and renowned dedication to customer service, she was well respected throughout the Bay Area real estate community.

Ernel loved to travel, especially to the warm and sunny climates of Hawaii and Mexico. She loved many different kinds of music, but in particular was an avid fan of Elvis Presley. She had a keen eye for interior design as is demonstrated throughout her beautiful home in SF.

Ernel was a devoted and loving wife and dedicated mother. She is survived by her husband, Michael Schroeder; her daughter Jennifer Lohman Patterson; and her brother, E. Charles Benner. Ernel was a true and treasured friend to many. Ernel's engaging smile, unforgettable laugh and zest for life will be missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of Ernel's life will be held at The Columbarium, 1 Loraine Court, SF on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 3:00PM. Reception to follow.
