GEORGE MATTHEW KELLY, JR. Attorney at law, died in Summit Hospital August 4, 2004. George was born September 17, 1941, in New Orleans, La., the first child of George and Marguerite Kelly. His family relocated to Oakland, Calif., in 1943. George graduated from Oakland High School in 1958. He entered the U.S. Army in 1959. After leaving the Army he continued his studies at Merritt College. He then went on to receive his Bachelor's and Master's in Business and his Jurist Doctorate from Golden Gate University. George completed his education when working full time for a number of companies, including General Motors, the U.S. Postal Service and Transamerica Title Company.
