Paul Eck

Paul Ronald Eck June 6, 1939 - January 18, 2006 Peacefully passed away at his water front home in Discovery Bay after a long on going battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving family at all times. Paul was born in Oakland, CA, graduated from Oakland High School, and attended Oakland City College. Paul was in the printing trade for 42 years. Paul enjoyed life to the fullest. He and Barbara were very active. Throughout the years the family belonged to the Lucky Loafer RV club which they belonged to for over 30 years. Paul enjoyed numerous sports, like fishing, duck and pheasant hunting with good buddies including Kevin, Steven, Brian and Jeff. Traveling was a favorite to both Paul and Barbara, they have enjoyed many trips. Cruises, RVing, and Mexico were their favorites. Many of these trips included good friends and family. He leaves behind his loving wife Barbara of 45 wonderful years. He was an awesome father to his son and daughter, Kevin Eck and Nina Claypool, and their spouses Lauren and Jeff. Paul is also survived by six grandchildren, Brian, Steven, Allison Eck and Kimberly, Lexi and Shelbee Claypool. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, Jan. 24th at Brentwood Funeral Home, 839 First Street, Brentwood, CA 94513. 925-634-2171.
