Resident of Murietta Victor was born in Denver, CO and passed on to our Heavenly Father Sept. 30, 2008 in Murietta Hot Springs, CA.
Victor was raised in Oakland, CA. He attended Fruitvale Elementary School, Bret Harte Junior High and Oakland High School. He spent much of his free time as a pinsetter at Oaklands Diamond Bowling Alley and bowling as often as he could, which carried on to the end of his life. He joined the Air Force while still in high school and trained in Texas at Lackland Air Base. He served in South Korea and Thule Greenland. He returned to America and served out his enlistment at Travis Air Base in Fairfield, CA. He met his first wife and had 4 children, Donna, Robert, Daniel and James. He coached Fremont Little League when his sons were old enough to play. Victor later married his second wife, Arlene and added 3 stepchildren to the family, Shawn, Shelley and Lynn. Victor spent most of his working life at General Motors in Fremont, CA. Retiring in 1992.
He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Sr., his mother, Arminda and brother, Eugene. Victor is survived by his wife, Arlene, his sisters, Frances Williams, Gloria Driver and brother Richard and Frank. His uncle John Vigil of Denver, CO, 5 grandchildren and many nephews, nieces, cousins and lifelong friends.
A memorial service is being performed by Pastor John Prochaska at the Teen Center at Lake Elizabeth in Fremont's Central Park on October 18th at 11:30am. Reception and Reflection directly following the service. To get to Central Park, take Paseo Padre Pkwy to Sailway Dr. Call 510-493-6666
