David Ryan David Mark Ryan Dec. 21, 1938 ~ Feb. 14, 2011 Resident of Danville

David Ryan, a prominent figure in home building for over 34 years, whose vision as president of California's most affluent building companies, can be seen in homes throughout the Bay Area, has died. He was 73.

David was born in Portland, Oregon, raised in Oakland, CA, and graduated from UC Berkeley in 1963. His motto "Never give up" was clearly the force behind his full and active life even after being diagnosed with cancer in 1992.

He enjoyed tennis, golf and spending time with his family and friends. He touched many lives with his words of inspiration and motivation. David is survived by his beloved wife Jackie; and his children Julie Bullas, Kristie Ryan, Ronni Anderson, and Jeff Anderson; seven grand-daughters, one grandson, and son-in-law, Rob Bullas. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in March. Donations in his name to the Cancer Society specifying Prostate Cancer Research would be greatly appreciated.
