Lifetime resident of Oakland, succumbed during the early morning
hours of January 2, 2007 after battling years of ill health. He was 68 years young,
graduate of Oakland High, 1957, graduate of Laney College, U.S. Army veteran, former
union president, activist, storyteller and B movie fanatic.
Beloved father of Anita, Debra, Robert and step-father to Ben and Victoria
Carrasco; survived by former wife, Ramona; sisters Carol, Barbara, Kathy and Patty as well as
several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at St. Jarlath's
Church, 2620 Pleasant and Fruitvale Aves., Oakland, on Friday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Ceetery, 26320 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
