Christine Movsessian

Christine Movsessian A resident of Oakland since 1945, entered into rest on October 15, 2002, in Oakland, age 64 years. Born October 12, 1938 in Iran. Preceded in death by her loving parents, and Azniv Movsessian, and brother Mishik Mike" Movsessian. A dedicated teacher at Edison School in Alameda for 34 years. Enjoyed many years of travel around the world, especially her eight trips to Armenia to visit relatives. A graduate of Oakland High, Class 1957, and of San Francisco State in 1961. An active member of St. Vartan Armenian Church in Oakland. A member of California Retired Teachers since 1995. Her surviving family includes her dearly loved nephews Jason Movsessian Stern and Todd Movsessian-Pyne, cousins Richard and Judy Sharafian, Aunt Sunny Sharafian, Martha and Ron Shapafian, Bob Sharafian, Carol Sharafian, Vicki and Armen Markarian, Monte and June Sahagian, Steve and Lisa Sharafian, Derrick and Paula Sharafian, Brian and Marcy Sharafian, Darren Shapazian, Natalie Shapazian, David Sharafian, Gary Sharafian and also many loving, caring, wonderful friends. Visitation will be held Friday, October 18, 2002 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Albert Brown Mortuary, 3476 Mt. View Cemetery's Gothic Chapel, 5000 Piedmont Ave., Oakland.
