JOYCE NEAL 64, passed away at her home in Castro Valley on March 14, 2004. Joyce was born on October 14, 1939 in Alameda, CA. She was a graduate of Oakland High School, Class of 1957. She attended Merritt College and worked as a dental hygienist for several years. Joyce retired in 2000, after 35 years of service at Monumental Life Insurance Co. She was full of life and was an avid Raider and football fan. She loved gambling, her friends and most of all her dogs. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Mary Gundersen. She is survived by her only sister, Kathy Gundersen and loving companion, Stan Creech. Visitation will be held at Jess C. Spencer Mortuary, 21228 Redwood Rd., Castro Valley on Friday, March 19, 2004 from 9 - 2 with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 295 - 27th St., Oakland, CA 94612.
