Wayman Siu

Wayman Siu Wayman Siu (Nov. 16, 1935 - Oct. 17, 2011) Wayman Siu, born in San Francisco to Perry Quong and Shee Louie Siu, the youngest of five children. Attended Jean Parker Elementary School in San Francisco, Lincoln Elementary in Oakland, Oakland High School and University of California, Berkeley. After two years at UC Berkeley, he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Ord and Fort Baker. He returned to UC Berkeley and attained a degree in Public Health. Wayman's first job was with East Bay Municipal Utilities District and then spent 29 years at Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Wayman retired in 1992 and spent his retirement traveling and dining around the world with his wife, family and friends.

Wayman is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marianne, his daughter Catherine (Lee) and three sons, Perry, Robert and Lawrence (Kitty), and seven grandchildren, Andrew, Jessalyn, Ryan, Russell, John, Elena and Madeline. Also survived by his brother Paul, sisters Ellen and Jessie, many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. His parents and sister Annie preceded him in death. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Chapel of the Chimes, 4499 Piedmont Ave, Oakland on October 24 at 11 am. The family requests that donations be made to MPN Research Foundation or your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
