Carolyn A. Ludwig was born April 26, 1931 in Dubuque, Iowa. She moved with her family to Oakland, CA. There she attended Westlake Junior High and Oakland High School. She still has friends from these schools. After graduation in 1949, she was employed by Crocker Bank. In December of 1952 she married Rodney Hansen. They settled in San Leandro and together had three children. Rod died in November of 1981. In 1986 she met John DeMaria, whom she married. She retired from Wells Fargo Bank in 1990 as a real estate loan officer. Together they had a wonderful life and traveled to many countries around the world. They shared and made new friends together. John died in 2005. Carolyn is survived by her three children Greg (Carolyn) Hansen, Keith Hansen and Julie (Michael) Welch; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother Lee Ludwig and his wife Genevieve Ludwig; and a sister-in-law Vera Gatto. She also has many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to the Visitation on Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 4-8pm at Wilson & Kratzer Mortuary, 825 Hartz Way, Danville, CA; and to the Mass on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11:00am at St. Joan of Arc's Catholic Church, 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon, CA; with Burial to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hayward, CA.
