Joan Codiga, 82, passed away on November 25, 2011 at her home in Fair Oaks, CA. She is survived by her sister, Sally Morketter, and her four children and their spouses: Kristi and Brian Boyd, Kathy and Bob Roland, Rick and Lee Ann Codiga, and Mark and Debra Codiga, her grandchildren Larry and Sheree Richter, Matthew Boyd, Robert and Christy Roland, Ryan and Kathleen Roland, Candace and Derek Rogers, Garret and Zandria Codiga, and her great grandchildren Joshua, Jourdan, Austin, Riley, Harold, Lola, Lacie and Jackson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joan was born in Oakland, CA on October 3, 1929, graduated from Oakland High School and married David Jackson Codiga of Alameda (deceased 2001). She and Dave raised their children in Alameda for many years until they moved up to the Delta area and Isleton, CA in the early 1970s. A few years after Dave's death, Joan moved to Fair Oaks, CA. Her passion was reading, but she loved to make friends wherever she went, watch her favorite football teams on TV, take long walks, and relax in the sunshine. Her final resting place is the Chapel of the Chimes located at 4499 Piedmont Avenue, Oakland, CA 94611.
