William Allison Farnsworth, a kind and gentle man, left this world on November 25, 2005. Bill was born in Salt Lake City, UT, and raised in Oakland, CA. Upon graduating from Oakland High in 1945 and completing his tour with the U.S. Army, he entered U.C. Berkeley, where he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. He graduated from Cal in 1952. Mr. Farnsworth taught school in the Lafayette School District for 30 years, at both Stanley and Fairview Junior High Schools. until his retirement in 1985.

Bill leaves behind his wife, Barbara, of 53 years; daughter, Laurie Baker (Dan) of Lafayette; son, James Farnsworth (Linda) of Cameron Park, CA; daughter, Allison Morin (Patrick) of Grapevine, TX; and grandchildren, Brooks, Trent, and Kendall Baker, Ian and Jill Farnsworth, and Christopher, Alexander, and Daniel Morin. He was predeceased by his brother, John Farnsworth; sister, Jean Kepner; and grandson, Eric James Morin. Services will be private.
