CAROL S. MULDOWNEY Entered peacefully into rest in Hayward on December 12, 2003. She was 79 years old. Born in Oakland, CA on December 25, 1923 to Mary and Charles McGonigle, Carol was a graduate of Oakland High School. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, traveling and gardening. She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Muldowney of San Lorenzo; daughters, Lilas Marcussen of San Lorenzo and Peggy Stock of Piedmont; son-in-law, John Stock of Piedmont; grandchildren, Jeffrey Marcussen and Thomas Marcussen, both of Scottsdale, AZ and Michael Stock, Kelly Stock and Katie Stock, all of Piedmont; sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa Justice of Martinez, Nancy and Chuck Kaufer of Ventura, CA, Mary and Roger Pruter of Clayton and Kathleen Huerta of Santa Rosa; many special nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Charles McGonigle; brothers, Charles McGonigle, John McGonigle, William McGonigle, Richard McGonigle and Frank McGonigle, and sister, Rita Vierra. Visitation for Carol will be Sunday from noon to 5 pm at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. The Vigil service will begin at 2 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. Carol will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
