"Bob" Sept. 18, 1923 ~ Sept. 30, 2008 Resident of San Ramon Bob passed away September 30, 2008 at age 85.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Annie, daughters Carolee and Cynthia, son Michael, step daughters Sheila, Amy, and Jessica, four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty, who passed away in 1981.

Bob was a life long resident of the San Francisco Bay Area. Born in Oakland Bob graduated from Oakland High School in 1941 and attended San Francisco Junior College. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served three years in the Pacific Theater on the aircraft carrier USS Corregidor. Bob married Betty Duckett in 1945. He entered the Oakland Fire Department in 1946 attaining the rank of Captain at 18 Engine, 6 Truck retiring in 1978. He married Ann Gresimer in 1982.

Bob was a devoted family man, made friends easily, and will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and sense of humor.

Bob will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Bob's life at 2:00 PM on October 18, 2008 at Peace Lutheran Church in Danville. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association or to Peace Lutheran Church.
