Block O Thomas Alvin Chattock Dec. 6, 1921 - Nov. 16, 2009 Resident of Union City Thomas was born at home in Oakland, CA on Dec. 6, 1921. He graduated from Oakland High School in 1941. He worked for two years at Todd Shipyard in Richmond before enlisting in the Army Air force. Thomas was a cosmetologist, dance instructor and carpenter before graduating from Laney Trade and Tech School in November 1950. He worked for 40 years as a technician for Addressograph-Multigraph and Bruning. Thomas is survived by his son David Chattock, sister Patricia Chattock, former wife Donna Stewart, daughter Belinda Doyle, grandson Ryan Schrum, and his partner of 24 years Martie Brown. Tom enjoyed physical activities all his life such as skiing, ballroom dancing, motorcycle riding, bike riding, hiking and wind surfing. Tom was a drummer with the East Bay Stompers Jazz band until his health declined. Friends and family are invited to his Union City home for a celebration of life on Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3:00 pm.
