Catherine E. Kruse, Resident of Lafayette

Kay, at the age of 88, peacefully went home to the Lord on Oct. 27, 2010 after an extended illness. She met Gerald "Jerry" Kruse at a USO dance in Oakland in 1942 and they were married in February 1944. In 1952 they moved their young family from Oakland to Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her beloved Jerry in 1970. Family was very important to Kay. She was extremely proud of her three children Kathy (Tom) Morrison, Cammy (Dennis) Morgan, and Tom Kruse; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was a friend to many and touched the hearts of all she met. She will be greatly missed by all.

A celebration of her life and the Mass of the Resurection will be held at St. Perpetua Catholic Church, 3454 Hamlin Road, Lafayette on Saturday, November 13 at 10:30 am. The family requests donations to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
