Ruth Thomas February 21, 1921 ~ April 12, 2009

Ruth Thomas so loved her years spent in Clearlake. She lived there from 1981 until 2003 and made so many good friends through her memberships in Park Study Club, Newcomers and working back stage with the Little Theater group.

In 2003 she moved to Santa Rosa to Sunrise Living where she was an Independent resident until her death on Easter, April 12 2009. She had three great-grandchildren born during these Santa Rosa years and she was happy to be closer to her family.

She is survived by her dear sister Gene Mahoney of Santa Rosa, her daughter Suellen Lamorte (Mario), grandchildren Ben, (Ariana), Allegra, (David) and great grandchildren Tobias, Simon and Elizabeth, all from San Anselmo Ca. She is also survuved by a neice Jackie (Don) of Lake Tahoe. She was preceded in death by her sister Elenore Herget.

Ruth was the oldest of three very close sisters born to Nell and Glen Rush and grew up in Oakland, attending Oakland High School. She worked mostly in retail in Oakland and San Francisco and worked briefly in Clearlake at Sprouze-Reitz. She volunteered for Hospice and helped produce the fashion shows and handle publicity. Being retired and devoting herself to friends and the community in Clearlake was a wonderful time for her. Thank you for the sense of community you all provided.
