Mina Elizabeth Anderson Feb. 14, 1920 - May 7, 2008 Resident of Concord

Born in Oakland, CA to Capt. W.B. and Bertha Voortmeyer. Mina grew up in Oakland, attending Glen View Elementary and Oakland High Schools; she graduated from Oakland High in 1938.

Mina married Randall Anderson in 1941 and is survived by their three children, William Anderson of Danville, Robert Anderson of Concord, and Judi Yantos of Rocklin. Eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive Mina. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years Randall Anderson, her parents and siblings, W.B. Voortmeyer [1934], Ann Clark [1935], and Robert Voortmeyer, [1940].

For the past eighteen years Mina was a volunteer at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek. Services: A viewing will be held Thurs., May 15, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Road, Concord, CA 94521. A Memorial Service will be Friday, May 16, 2008 at 12:00 noon at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1092 Alberta Way, Concord, CA 94521.
