Raymond Maloney

Block O RAYMOND MARTIN MALONEY entered into rest on November 23, 2001, joining our Mother, Miriam Mace Maloney. Raymond was born on August 18, 1920 in Richmond, CA to Edward and Rose Maloney. Raymond was a graduate of Oakland High School, class of 1938, then served in WWII with the Seabees 21st Naval Construction Battalion, Company C.

He was a longtime member of the Oakland business community, working with Dimond Plumbing Co., established in 1932 by Edward Maloney and Sons, a lifetime member of the United Association of Plumbers, Local #444/342, since 1947.

Raymond is survived by his three children, Richard Maloney of Hayward; Kathleen Bishop of Portland, OR, and Jeannine Birge of Castro Valley and six grandchildren: Gary Maloney, Michael Maloney, Susanne Bishop, Barbara Ross, Laura Pulis and Joseph Pulis. Raymond was also blessed with ten great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to attend Memorial Service to be held at Jess C. Spencer Mortuary, 21228 Redwood Rd., Castro Valley on Saturday, December 1, 2001 at 1:00 pm.

The family requests donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
