1920 - 2008 Passed away on Saturday, October 18 at the age of 88. Born on January 26, 1920 in Livermore, he was the fifth of six sons to the late Simon and Rose Lerch. "Duddie" grew up in Oakland and was a graduate of Oakland High School; a proud World War II veteran, he served abroad in the Mediterranean Theater.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Claire, his son Sherman Lerch and daughter Renee Moshe, his son-in-law Meir Moshe, and his grandchildren Benjamin, Ariel, and Jordan Moshe, and Michelle and Rachel Lerch.

A memorial service was held in his honor at the Colonial Chapel at 2626 High Street in Oakland, on Monday, October 20 at 11:00 AM.
