Quentin M. "Cooty" Thompson

July 24, 1918 - May 17, 2002

Quentin M. Thompson Died at home in Orinda on May 17, 2002 at the age of 83. He was a graduate of Oakland High and Stanford University where he was a Zeta Psi and a pitcher on the baseball team. In World War II, he was a Navy pilot in blimps and fighter planes. He was a past member of the Olympic Club, the Orinda Country Club and the Pacific Union Club. Quentin is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth; four children Carol Kleps (Chris), Wendy Shearer (Richard), Sally Johnson ("Happy"), Peter Thompson ("Pinky"); and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2002 at the Orinda Community Church, 10 Irwin Way, Orinda, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Contra Costa Foundation, 2051 Harrison Street, Concord, CA 94520. Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel (925) 934-5400
