A daughter of Dr. William Thomas and Laura Belle Wythe, K. Grace Wythe was born in San Francisco August 27, 1873 and died in June 21, 1945 at the age of 72. Grace attended Oakland High School and graduated in 1892. She then attended and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1897 with a Ph. B. Grace was listed as a librarian in a 1907 UC listing, but became a YMCA missionary and worked in Japan for some years, based in Fukuoka near Nagasaki.
